Objective 1:
Apply culturally competent evidence-based practice skills adaptable to meet the needs of individuals and groups with diverse backgrounds by utilizing understandable language and multi-culturally sensitive communication skills.
The assignment I have chosen to demonstrate competency of Program Objective 1 is the Cross-Cultural Interview assignment that I completed in the Interviewing Skills class at UTC. I interviewed a woman who is blind for this paper. In order to interview her, I had to display culturally competence skills in my communication, using sensitive language throughout the interview. I have attached the paper in its entirety.
